The Wicklow Patchwork Group first met in the spring of 2014 and has been meeting every month since. Today, we have over 100 members largely from the Wicklow, South Dublin and Wexford areas. We meet in a friendly atmosphere on the third Saturday of each month, including the summer months, in the Community Centre in Newtownmountkennedy, Co. Wicklow.
We are a group of likeminded people whose aim is to share our love of patchwork and quilting among ourselves and with others. We welcome members of all standards, from the interested beginner to those who have years of experience and are more than happy and willing to share their knowledge and wisdom with all!
At our meetings we have guest speakers and demonstrations done by our members. We also hold regular workshops for members to improve their skills and learn new techniques. At each meeting tea and coffee is available and there is plenty of time for chat and meeting other members and visitors. We also have an extensive lending library that members can use. Our nominated charity for 2019 is The Lakers, Bray.
Membership of the group costs €20 per annum and the membership year runs from 1st September to 31st August.
Entry to monthly meetings is €3 for members and €5 for visitors. Visitors are welcome to attend two meetings before joining the Group. There is more information about our meetings and workshops on the Events page.
If you are looking for a “quilting home” why not come along to a meeting and check us out!
