Gwen Murray of Celtic Fusion Fabrics will bring along her fabric shop https://www.celticfusionfabrics.com/ .      There will be the usual charity table in aid of Purple House Bray https://www.purplehouse.ie/.     Maria Eiffe will give a pre-meeting demo.

Geraldine Cahill from Giddygoat Patchwork Studiohttps://giddygoatpatchwork.com/ will give a workshop on a Light Up House in the afternoon which will continue on Sunday 20th.   

Giddygoat Patchwork Studio https://giddygoatpatchwork.com/will bring along their fabric and sewing notions shop.  Geraldine McGettigan will give a pre-meeting patchwork demonstration.  There will be the usual charity table.

Saturday 21st September 2024

This meeting will be held outdoors and in Newtownmountkennedy.  Members quilts and projects will be on view in the Community Centre carpark and hall.

Moira Byrne and Lorna Rafferty will give a demo on Printing & Stamping. There will be the usual charity table so bring along any unwanted fabrics and sewing notions.

A sit & sew day will take place in the Community Centre in Newtownmountkennedy.

Bring along the projects you are working on.   Members will work on the second charity quilt.

Lynn Naughton will give an afternoon workshop on a simple origami fabric Christmas Decoration.

Moira Byrne and Lorna Lafferty will give a fabric dyeing workshop on Saturday 20th (half day) and Sunday 21st (full day).    Helen Dodd will give a pre-meeting demo on creating an accurate quarter inch seam.

Children’s themed character fabrics will be on sale.    There will be charity table in aid of Purple House Cancer Support Centre.    There will be the usual show & tell of members projects.   Tomomi McElwee will collect any quilts which you wish to enter into the Tinahely Show.

Moya Geraghty of Patchwork Plus https://patchworkplus.ie/will bring her fabric shop.   Sewing machines are scheduled to be serviced and scissors will be sharpened.

Moya Geraghty https://patchworkplus.ie/ will give a half day workshop (Saturday 18th afternoon) on exploring triangles.   Helen Dodd will give a pre meeting demo on how to make quilt labels and hanging sleeves.

Our speaker will be Sandra Margaret Butler who will give a powerpoint presentation on old Irish patchwork quilts from the National Museum.   Margaret Keating will give a patchwork demonstration.

The AGM will take place.   On behalf of Charabanc, Barbara Davis will be presented with a cheque being funds raised by WPG in 2023.

An informal online group meeting will take place at 7pm.    This will be a sit & sew/chat evening.

Members will have the opportunity to meet up, chat, sew and share all sewing ideas.

The WPG Committee Members will show their quilts and will talk about the background and the making of them.

In the afternoon Tomomi McElwee https://slaneyquiltingstudio.com/will begin her workshop on stained glass and will continue on the next day, Sunday 21st.

The shop will be provided by Eilish Murphy of Sew Dublin https://www.sewdublin.ie/ who will bring along her fabrics.

9th December 2023

There will be demonstrations from various Members.    The Christmas Challenge entries will be judged.   There will be a charity swap table.    Quilts from the Enniskerry Christmas Fair can be picked up by the owners.

Tea/coffee, mulled wine and mince pies will be available.   A Kris Kindle will be shared.    Christmas fabric panels will be on sale for €5 each.
