Membership Fees

Membership fees for 2025 were due in January 2025.   You can download the Membership form and bring it along to the next meeting.

Saturday 19th April 2025

Ann O’Rafferty will be our guest speaker and will give a half day workshop on machine appliqué.

Entries for the Easter Challenge will be on view and will be judged at meeting.

Library books on patchwork/embroidery etc. will be available on loan to members.

We will have the usual charity table in aid of CALI Bray  https://cali.ie/  so bring along any unwanted fabric and sewing notions in aid of this worthy charity.

Bring along your finished/unfinished projects for ‘show & tell’.

Teas & coffee will be available – please bring along your own mug – thank you.

Saturday 29th March 2025

          As this is the 5th Saturday in the month it will be a ‘sit & sew’ day.   Bring along any project you are working on.   Volunteers are sought to help with the sewing of the ‘orphan’ hexagons which will be used to create a quilt in aid of our charity this year CALI Bray https://cali.ie/

Saturday 15th March 2025

Gwen Murray of Celtic Fusion Fabrics  https://www.celticfusionfabrics.com/  will bring along her fabric and sewing notions shop.

Guest Speaker will be Gabi McGrath  https://gabimcgrath.com/ .  Gabi will give a workshop in the afternoon on 3rd felting which will continue on Sunday 16th.

We will have the usual charity table in aid of CALI Bray https://cali.ie/  so bring along your unwanted sewing items.

The Easter Challenge this year is titled ‘Easter Basket‘ and entries will be judged at the meeting on 19th April.   We encourage members to enter a project for this challenge.

The Library is now available and members can avail of various patchwork/sewing books on loan.

The WPG AGM will be held on this date.  New members are welcome to join the Committee for the coming year.

Anne Fleeton is our speaker and she will give a workshop in the afternoon on Boro Stitching.

The WPG Charity for 2024 was Purple House Cancer Care Centre, Bray ttps://www.purplehouse.ie and proceeds of funds raised during the year by members and friends will be presented to Veronica O’Leary on behalf of the charity.

Entries for the WPG anniversary ‘Ten’ challenge will be judged and details for the Easter Challenge will be announced.

Tomomi McElwee of Slaney Quilting Studio of https://slaneyquiltingstudio.com/ will give a workshop on the theme of Stained Glass in the afternoon which will continue on Sunday 19th.

CALI Bray   https://cali.ie/pages/what-we-do  has been nominated as the WPG charity projects for 2025 and Annette Kinne will attend and speak on the work of this charity.
